Man Arrested for Warrants CK24034058
At 10:19 a.m., police were investigating a traffic complaint in the area of McNaughton Avenue East in Chatham. The driver and owner of the vehicle was found to have an outstanding warrant out for his arrest.
The 36-year-old Chatham-Kent man was placed under arrest and was subsequently transported to police headquarters, where he was later released on an undertaking with a future court date of August 26th, 2024.
Man Arrested for a Public Intoxication CK24034214
At 1:30 a.m., police responded to an establishment on King St W in Chatham for a report of a man causing a disturbance and who refused to leave the establishment. Upon arrival, police found the man was found to be intoxicated by an alcoholic beverage and in a belligerent state. The man still refused to leave upon police direction.
The 30-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he held in custody and released once sober.
Woman arrested for Breach of Peace CK24034218
At 3:11 a.m., police attended a residence in the area of Kirk St in Chatham in response to woman causing a disturbance and fighting with family members. The woman was highly intoxicated by alcohol. As the woman was continuing to cause issues and could not be left at the residence, she was arrested for Breach of the peace.
The 37-year-old Chatham woman was transported to police headquarters, where she was held until sober.
