Chatham-Kent Police Service Report – January 07, 2025
The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to various incidents throughout the day and night shifts on January 2, 2025. Below is a summary of key events from the day’s calls:

Arrests:
6 arrests were made throughout the day, including individuals wanted for outstanding warrants, failure to comply, and domestic-related offenses.
Key Incidents:
Warrants/ Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.)- Case# CK25001165
Date: 07 January 2025, Time: 1037 hrs., Location: Old Glass Road, Wallaceburg
Details:
Information was received by ROPE that a 33-year-old male who is wanted for home invasion/robbery in Windsor. He was believed to have been in possession of a sawed-off shotgun and was in hiding at Old Glass Road, Wallaceburg. After several callouts attempts, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated the application for a Feeney Warrant. ROPE requested Chatham-Kent’s Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) to execute the warrant. CIRT and the Police Dog Service (PDS) arranged the containment. At 1157 hrs. ROPE made contact with the suspect who was hiding in a recreational vehicle (RV) on the property. He was arrested without incident and Chatham-Kent police officers met with Windsor police officers to return him to the Windsor Police Station.
Mischief- Case# CK25001202
Date: 07 January 2025, Time: 1433 hrs., Location: Grand Ave. W. Chatham
Details:
A 31-year-old male was arrested for Mischief in relation to three calls for trespassing at a discount retail store at Grand Ave. W. Chatham. There are ongoing issues at this location with the arrested male. The business owner provided a statement to lay a charge. He was held for bail under a Reasonable and Probable Grounds (RPG) warrant for Failure to Attend (FTA) Court.
Crime Stoppers 2024
The year 2024 was another successful year for Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers as the program assisted Chatham-Kent Police Service and other government agencies in seizing over $170,000 in illicit drugs, stolen property and 43 charges laid.
Flag-Raising Ceremony
After nearly 40 years, Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers remains a valuable resource to help Chatham-Kent police fight crime. On Friday, 03 January 2025, at the Chatham-Kent City Hall, a flag-raising ceremony was held. Crime Stoppers board president Angie Shreve, left and program coordinator Erica McIntosh, right, along with Inspector Mathew Stezycki, right, were present at this event.
