The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 190 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Ten people were arrested, and five were on outstanding warrants.
Woman Arrested for Bail Violations. CK22028290
On June 20, 2022, the woman was released with conditions, including not communicating with a man and not attending any place he is known to live or work.
At 1:32 p.m., police received information the woman attended the man’s home in Chatham.
Upon arrival, the police observed the woman exiting the home and was arrested.
The 48-year-old Chatham woman was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Woman Arrested for Mischief and Assault CK22028346
Yesterday at 6:16 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on James Street in Wallaceburg.
Through investigation, police learned that the woman attended the residence and caused property damage, including breaking a window and throwing garbage around.
The woman left but returned approximately 20 minutes later. When she was told to leave, she engaged in a verbal altercation with others which escalated into a physical altercation when she attempted to enter the home forcibly. The woman left before the police arrived.
The 29-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was located, arrested and charged with assault, uttering threats and two counts of mischief. She was transported to place headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Three Men Arrested During a Disturbance CK22028358
At 7:18 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Michener Road in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned two men engaged in a physical dispute involving a knife and a chair. A third man was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The 35-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault and assault with a weapon. He was transported to police headquarters and then to the hospital for medical attention. He was released into the hospital’s care. The need for medical care was not a result of the altercation.
The 53-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault and assault with a weapon. He was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of July 19, 2022.
The 51-year-old Chatham man was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of July 19, 2022.
