Wallaceburg Man Arrested after Domestic Assault
On January 5th, 2018 Police responded to a domestic disturbance in Wallaceburg. A 51 year old Wallaceburg man had assaulted his partner and then barricaded himself in his residence threatening self-harm. Police were able to talk with the man and have him exit his residence in a peaceful manner. The man was charged with multiple assaults, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief under $5000. The man was held pending a bail hearing.
Blenheim Man Arrested on Multiple Offences
On January 3rd, 2018 Police conducted a compliance check for a 24 year old Blenheim man. The man was released from court with a curfew condition to remain in his residence between set times. On January 3rd the man was found to be in breach of this condition and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 4th, 2018 a theft from a vehicle was reported in Blenheim and a Visa was stolen. Records indicate that the card was used at a local store on January 3rd, 2017 after it had been stolen. Video was retrieved at the store and further charges were laid against the 24 year old man.
On January 5th the man was located and arrested at his residence. He was charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Stolen Credit Card x2 and Unauthorized Use of Credit Card. The 24yr old man was held pending a bail hearing.
