Domestic Disturbance leads to Charges CK19006487
Early Saturday morning, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Wheatley. Through investigation, police learned that the man assaulted his wife and refused to let her leave the home. The man fled prior to police arrival and attempts were made to locate him.
Yesterday afternoon, the man attended police headquarters and turned himself in. The 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with forcible confinement and three counts of assault. He was released pending a future court date of March 5, 2019.
Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences CK19006590
Early yesterday morning, a verbal argument began between the man and his girlfriend. The incident escalated into a physical altercation as the woman tried to leave his residence.
The woman was able to free herself and fled for safety.
The 31-year-old Chatham man was arrested this morning and charged with forcible confinement and assault. He has been held in custody pending bail hearing.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK19006571
On January 11, 2019 the woman was released from custody for the offences of failing to attend court and break and enter. On January 30, 2019 the woman failed to attend court again and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Last night, police responded to a noise complaint at a residence in Wallaceburg. Through investigation, police located the woman in the home and she was arrested on the outstanding warrant. The 32-year-old Wallaceburg woman has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) CK19006572
Last night, police conducted a RIDE spot check in Tilbury.
Eight vehicles were stopped. One motorist was issued a warning regarding a Highway Traffic offence.
Man Charged with Driving while Under Suspension CK19006527
Yesterday afternoon, an officer on general patrol initiated a traffic stop on Bedford Street in Chatham.
The driver, a 52-year-old Chatham man, was charged with driving while suspension and using plates not authorized for the vehicle. He will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on March 6, 2019.
The vehicle was towed from the scene and the owner was notified.
