Message from Chief Dennis Poole

On behalf of the Chatham-Kent Police Service I would like to welcome you to our new website.  We have changed the appearance and added many new features to make your experience more enjoyable and productive.  We recognize that keeping you informed about police activities is important, and this website will provide up-to-date information about upcoming events, recent news, and how we operate as a Police Service.

Every time you visit our site, you will see officers from different areas within our organization showing the different uniforms they wear.  I encourage you to spend some time to look around.  Check out the Calendar to find upcoming events, the Photo Gallery to see a variety of photo albums, the CKPS Most Wanted, and the numerous other informative sections.

We are also pleased to introduce our new Community SMARTS mascot, Constable Courage!.  He was born on October 5, 2009.  The name was selected from 107 suggested entries provided by Chatham-Kent elementary school students through a two month-long contest.  I was pleased to meet the winner, Brooke Goodall of George P. Vanier Catholic School and her parents.  Brooke was presented with "Courage's" official birth certificate on December 11, 2009.  Thank you to everyone who participated in the naming contest!

Our citizens play an important role in partnering with us to keep our community safe.  We look forward to working with you, to improve our community and achieve our mission of making Chatham-Kent the safest community in Ontario!
